What is the campaign?

The $1 Hope Campaign is a grassroots effort inspired by the lives of my brother, Mark L. Brown, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021, and my mother, DeLois Laura Mae Draper Brown, who passed away from ovarian cancer in February 2026. In their honor, the campaign encourages people to donate at least $1 to support cancer research and patient care.

My goal is to raise $1 million for research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and an additional $250,000 for Comfort with Chemotherapy, a nonprofit dedicated to helping patients better manage the challenges of chemotherapy treatment.

The idea is simple: when many people give a little, together we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer.

Where do donations go?

Funds support cancer research efforts directly. Additionally, funds will be used to support Comfort With Chemotherapy, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing care personalized care packages to cancer patients. These care packages contain practical and uplifting items to empower patients and let them know they are not alone.
